Overall Rating: Excellent
The Wall Street Journal Wine Club came in third this year for their delicious red wine picks, superb tasting notes on each and every red wine you receive, exceptionally low prices, and the wide variety of red wines from around the world that you'll receive: France, Australia, Chile, Spain, California, Italy and Argentina. |
 |
Wine Quality: Excellent
While the quality of red wines that you'll receive from The Wall Street Journal Wine Club are excellent, we found them to be just a tiny bit lower than Laithwaites and the Zagat Wine Club. However, these are still great red wines at an incredibly low prices. And truth be told, I have yet to find a bottle of red wine from them that I didn't like. Especially with some havarti cheese and crackers! |
 |
Wine Education: Excellent
The wine tasting notes that come with every bottle of red wine are very colorful and informative and a vast improvement over the notes of two years ago. They now provide almost as much information as Laithwaites and Zagat. |
 |
Pricing: Phenomenal
To compete with Zagat and Laithwaites, the Wall Street Journal Wine Club is now matching their same low prices (only $5.84 a bottle). They also charge $19.99 for shipping and applicable tax. |

Overall Rating: Excellent
The Cellars Wine Club came in 5th place this year thanks to sending so many superior red wines, having excellent customer service and most importantly, having the largest selection of red wine clubs available anywhere: 90+ point wine club, international wine club, 90+ point wine club, red trio wine club, etc. |
 |
Wine Quality: Excellent
Cellars Wine Club has some of the best red wines available out of all other red wine clubs, which is why they ranks so well in our 90+ point wine club reviews. You'll pay more for this high-end membership, but it's definitely worth it. |
 |
Wine Education: Excellent
With every red wine club shipment you recceive, you'll get a free newsletter detailing the wineries and red wines featured in that shipment, tasting notes, food pairings, recipes, and other red wine related articles. |
 |
Pricing: Excellent
Most wine clubs are not as inexpensive as Laithwaites, Zagat and the Wall Street Journal Wine Club ($5.84 a bottle), and instead range inprice from $15 to $30 a bottle. Cellar's red wine clubs falls right in that range, charging $14.97 to $149.95 a bottle, depending on the particular club you sign up for. Again, if you can afford it, the 90+ point membership is outstanding! |

Overall Rating: Excellent
The Uncorked Ventures Wine Club came in 6th place this year for red wines as EVERY bottle is a 90+ point red wine. As a matter of fact, they earned the #1 position this year in our 90+ point wine club reviews. We wanted to rank them higher in the best red wine standings, but couldn't because not all of the wines you'll receive will be red wines. Read our full review of the Uncorked Ventures Wine Club. |

Overall Rating: Very Good
The Celebrations Wine Club was the 8th best red wine club this year for their amazingly hard to find Italian & California red wines. However, since not all the wines they deliver are red wines, we had to rank them a little lower than their competitors that exclusively provide red wines..
